2 Day Comprehensive First Aid Course: 21st-22nd September 2025
On September 21st and 22nd, The Whakaki Resilience Group Charitable Trust in Association with The New Zealand Red Cross ran this 2 day first aid course, the course was designed to increase our medical capability within Wairoa/Whakaki during civil emergencies, it is pleasing that people saw the necessity to engage with us to make this happen, thus giving them all the tools to be able to provide first aid to their whanau if the worse should happen.
We would like to thank the Wairoa Community Commisioning Table for providing the funding to enable this course to go ahead, with the funding we were also fortunate to be able to purchase a secure medical cabinet with a defibrillator positioned at the Whakaki Community Hub and a backboard (not pictured).
It is also pleasing that all twelve participants gained their Comprehensive First Aid Certificate, and all enjoyed the 2 day course. with our thanks going to Neil Julian from New Zealand Red Cross trainer, for making the course so entertaining and educational.
