A medical callout neccessitated a call for assistance from our resident First Aiders who attended to the patient gathering vital information before calling for St John Ambulance, who in turn called for the Rescue Helicopter from Hawkes Bay, the Helicopter landed at the Whakaki Community Hub (Old Whakaki School) and then transported the patient off to Hawkes Bay Hospital before being forwarded to Wellington Hospital for further treatment. We wish the patient a speedy recover and return home, Whakaki Resilience Group. We thank St John Wairoa and The Hawkes Bay Rescue Helicopter crew for their care and assistance of our whanau.
